Lindsay is.....

I heard on the radio this morning that Lindsay Lohan would, once again, be appearing in court today.  My question is this....who cares?  All she has going for her is a drug habit, repeated trips to rehab and shoplifting skills.  I, for one, am tired of hearing about her drama that is not newsworthy.  If this is the best the media has to offer for "news", then maybe they should be out looking for a new line of work! I'm just sayin',

The Rat Pack....

While we were in Las Vegas last month, we had the opportunity to see a great show.  It was a group of men impersonating The Rat Pack.  I do hate it was impersonators but since the original members are no longer with us, I suppose that is the only way to be able to see them in person, so to speak. I do hate that I never had the opportunity to see the originals....Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.  Their music is exceptional and they left such a wonderful legacy -- their voices.  While the "look alikes" did an outstanding job and were very entertaining, you just can't beat the Real Thing!  So, as I sit hear listening to their wonderful music on my computer, I lift my Coke and salute you....Frank, Dino and Sammy!  You are missed! I'm just sayin', PS...I don't count Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford...they can't sing!  :-))

What If....

We've all stated many times “if I knew then what I know now” or “if I had it to do all over again, things would be different”. We make these statements thinking that if we truly could go back, our lives would be so much better than they are now.  We have grandiose visions of wealth and all that it brings as well as eliminating suffering through those bad relationships.  But what if you could go back, knowing what you now know, and change things.  What would you change?  Would you go to college or possibly a different college?  Would you have a different spouse?  Different job?  Would you choose to live somewhere else? Has it ever occurred to you (me) that nothing would be different?  Those poor or different choices we made helped shape us into the person we've become.  We wouldn't have the knowledge we think we now have because those people or experiences would not be around to give it to us.   So tell me; if you could go back, what woul...

Random Blatherings.....

It has been quite some time since I've posted a blog.  Given that fact, I bet you are thinking this blog will be something profound or insightful.  Well, you are going to be very disappointed, as it is neither of those things. Blathering #1: I found out this weekend that Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll (author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland ), was a photographer and Anglican deacon.  Additionally, he was most probably a pedophile, by today's standards.  He photographed lots of young girls, some of them in the nude, and was fascinated with children.  While there is quite a bit more information to substantiate this line of thinking, I will not bore you with the details. Blathering #2: It was 106 degrees here in Midlothian, TX on Saturday. Blathering #3: I have lived in Texas for almost 5 months. I'm just sayin',
