O Holy Night is one of my most favorite traditional Christmas songs. It just gives me chills. However, not just anyone can sing this song. Charlotte Church gives it a good shot, but the best rendition, hands down....Luciano Pavarotti. Since I couldn't find a good Pavarotti performance of the song on YouTube, my readers will have to settle for a version recorded by Josh Groban.
Take a look at the lyrics:
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
'Til He appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O hear the angels' voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O night divine, O night, O night Divine.
Noël, Noël, O Night, O Night Divine.
I'm just sayin',
